October 3, 1946 ~ March 24, 2016 (age 69)

Mildred “Nanu” Cobb Johnson, age 69, of Morganton, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side.  Mildred was born in Burke County on October 3, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Guy and Kitty Sue Cobb.  She will always be remembered as the best and most loving mother and grandmother a family could ask for.  She was a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church in Morganton.

Surviving Mildred are three children: Traci Harris of Marion, Tommy Ray Johnson of Morganton and Christie Johnson of Morganton; five grandchildren: Jesse Harris, Joshua Harris, Amanda Harris, Tommy “T.J.” Johnson and Timber Colvard.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 4:00 pm at McDowell Presbyterian Church in Morganton with Rev. Dennis Carswell officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Burke County, 1721 Enon Road, Morganton, NC 28690.
