Juanita Bollinger Crotts, 61, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family and friends at her home on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, following a brief illness. She was born in Burke County on October 22, 1947 and was a daughter of the late John Henry Bollinger and Ruth Duckworth Bollinger. Juanita was a member of Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and in recent years she was employed as a C.N.A. and worked as a caregiver. She was an avid flower gardener and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam Crotts of the home; her son, Eddie Crotts; her brothers, Henry Bollinger and Garland Bollinger; her sisters, Faye Norman and her husband, Lou, and Ann Carswell and her husband, Pee Wee, all of Morganton; her church family; special friend, Helen Pritchard; and her faithful canine companion, Ty.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her brother, Hatch Bollinger.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009, in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. Entombment will follow at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
