Roy Lee Buff was born on September 18, 1947 and passed away on August 16, 2020 and is under the care of Elmwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Columbia S.C. You can leave condolences at their website.
Roy was a good friend throughout high school. However, as often happens after graduation, our lives took separate paths. He went to the military as did many of our classmates and ended up in Vietnam. Our paths crossed a few times after that (I remember one at the South Mountain Park when our class was having a reunion, our tenth, I believe). And then, we had no contact until about ten years ago when we began communicating by mail. I looked forward to the Christmas cards from Roy each year.
Unfortunately, as we all do at times during our lives, Roy made a bad choice that he paid dearly for the rest of his life. I believe that Roy was a good person, who had made changes to his life in recent years, and now at his passing is in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
